Simon had a motorcycle accident in 1988 in which he badly fractured his leg. At the time he was serving in the Royal Navy, after a medical discharge he worked as a shipwright and in 1994 emigrated to Australia, where he met Michelle. After a work related injury he started to suffer from reoccurring back pain and turned to Pilates. Attending Michelle’s classes for a year his back pain alleviated, his flexibility, core strength and general wellbeing vastly improved, Simon was inspired to become a Pilates Instructor.
After completing a Fitness Leader course with Fitness N.S.W. Simon continued his training at the Pilates Institute in Sydney and in 2002 became a qualified Pilates Instructor. Simon regularly attends workshops and conventions held by Australian and International Pilates organizations, always looking for new ideas to challenge and motivate his clients.
Simon brings to his classes a relaxed and descriptive teaching style with empathy for those suffering from injury or back pain, keeping his classes challenging without putting stress on his clients bodies.
