Boutique Reformer Equipment Studio

Michelle’s Pilates Place has a fully equipped Boutique studio in a tranquil rainforest setting.

In a Private 1:1 or Semi-Private 2:1, a professionally customized Pilates program will be tailored to meet your specific health needs and goals.

Whether you are new to The Pilates Method, needing to rehabilitate from injury, a pregnant mother to be or needing specific athletic conditioning, your studio session is personally tailored to you.

Our Boutique Pilates Studio is conveniently located in North Avoca.

What Pilates Equipment will I use in the Studio?

The Boutique Pilates Studio is equipped with a Clinical Pilates Reformer, Pilates Wunda Chair, Wall Cadillac and other Pilates apparatus to assist you achieve your goals.

Who is the Studio best suited to?

The Pilates studio is suitable for anyone wanting to focus on their individual health needs and goals in a personalised and supportive environment. You might be new to The Pilates Method and want to learn and understand the principles and techniques prior to joining a group class.

Pilates for injury rehabilitation and prevention

Individual Pilates sessions allows for a focused whole body approach to rehabilitate from injury or as a preventative. Pain and prolonged habits can lead to compensatory movements patterns that may contribute to ongoing disfunction. Injuries and health conditions may include Joint replacement, Bursitis, Disc herniation, Shoulder pain, Scoliosis, Asthma, Neck and Back pain. An individual program will aim to improve muscular strength, endurance and control. Focus to gain stability, flexibility and reduce pain and discomfort.

Pilates for pregnant mothers to be

A personalised Pilates program will allow you to exercise safely and effectively throughout the changing stages of your pregnancy. Focusing on your general strength, flexibility and postural control, reducing the risk of back and pelvic pain. Focusing on your pelvic floor strength and preparing your body for a smooth birth and recovery.

Pilates for athletic conditioning

Pilates studio sessions can offer a focused and individualised program targeted to your individual goals and to improve your athletic performance. You might want to improve your golf swing, strengthen your dance performance or train for a marathon? Your studio sessions will be customized to your goals, aimed to increase your strength, agility, and endurance.

Where do I start?

An initial Private Pilates session is recommended to learn about your history, movement patterns and individual goals. With the supportive environment and focused attention in the Studio, you will be educated on The Pilates Method and use of the specifically designed equipment to meet your individual needs.

I have been fortunate enough to become a client of Michelle’s Pilates program for about 5 years and have appreciated her ability and level of care over the time that I’ve been with her. I am 77 and have several health issues. Michelle has taken these into account and specifically designed a program delivered to my needs on a one-on-one basis. This allows her to optimise the level of intensity, range and strength to best enable a workout that challenges me without undue strength or possible damage. She does this by monitoring any discomfort that I might feel at the time and checking how I reacted to the previous program before we commence the next weekly session.
